Keeping secrets

Psalm 25:14 The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.

No one shares their “private business” with anyone, do they? We are all quite particular with whom we share our secrets. Most of us may have just one or two persons with whom we share our innermost thoughts, plans and actions.

God is the same way! He really does not share His innermost secrets, His business with all and sundry, like us…He is quite picky with those whom He shares His deep character and intentions. Perhaps that is why so many persons never get beyond a casual acquaintance with Him. They know His name, where He lives, what He does for a living….you know… basic stuff. Then there are those who talk about Him, who seem to always be up in His house…eating out His fridge….talking about stuff He told them just the other day.

They are those whom He has chosen to share His innermost thoughts with. They are those who have chosen to make their residence in His house. Like Joshua before them they have decided for themselves and their house to serve the Lord. Like David declared in Psalms 23,

“I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”.

Has He shared His thoughts with you? Have you decided to draw near to Him? If you do….He promises to draw near to you, too.

Don’t leave them in their mess.

Ever met anyone who does brag bout the sweethearts they does keep? Or brag bout the how much liquor they could drink….or bout how good they are at “teifin!’? Our boast bout how good a liar they is….or how good they are at getting other people into trouble?

Listen! Ain’t it something how we could get ourselves tied up in the mess which we create? What is even worse is how many of us choose to stay in the mess and make it one! We cause problems, but instead of acknowledging and owning our mess…asking for forgiveness…then coming out if it, we choose to make our home in the mess we created!

David musta met these kinda people cuz he wrote bout them in Psalm 32:9-10. He even wrote them a warning… Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.

So today when you see them comin….don’t tink mule or horse….point them to repentance please…point them outta their mess…and into the love, care and concern of our Heavenly Father.

Lights, Camera, Action!

James 1:22: But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
The proof is in our actions!
Talk is cheap…it takes money to buy land!  That is a true and straightforward saying.  Action is the thing that separates the players from the spectators.  Action is the verb…belief is the subject….real success comes not merely from the way we think…but from the things we do.
Integrity happens when our actions match our words.  Far too often we live in a world of talkers…people with head knowledge..concepts…ideas…thought processes…that get us half the way up the mountain of change that we truly need.  If we live there then life becomes a saying…it resonates in our minds and in our hearts….our life becomes a postcard that we carry with us…..sharing things that might be….or that may happen.
Action separates the orators from the real doers…feet in motion prove or disprove the thoughts in our heads….they testify of the validity of our belief.  Our actions speak so much louder than our thoughts that at the end of a man’s life…he is measured by his doings….not his sayings.
Our faith is seeing rough, shameless and relentless assault because the world in which we live measures the gap between our saying and our doing…..they have weighed us, and have found us wanting.  They have seized on the a sense of action that fail to measure up to our high moral talk…hence they see us as mere bankers..no different from the philosophers of old…lots of talk about this God who is invisible….whose presence is as vacant as our actions.
James stokes us to be living testaments of His work.  Today we do the things of God!

All for Your glory

Hello world.

I’ve read and listened to dozens of articles about life and the emotions related to it. My posts here  represents my take on it.

We all come in different packages so this will vary in its relation to how you view it. My aim here is not to offend anyone but again we are not made with exactly the same specs although we come from the same manufacturer, so in this light let me apologize in advance for stepping on any toes if I do.

I am a peaceful person so peace I intend to pass on.

Thanks for reading this. Please do check out my future posts and I ask that you send me your comments.
